The 2012 Marathon will start at a little village called Evansford which lies between Talbot and Waubra in central Victoria.

The date of the walk is Saturday November 10.

We will meet at the Central Goldfields Information Centre in Alma Street, Maryborough, at 7-15am.   CLICK HERE for map.

From Evansford the walk route is north-westerly through Burnbank and then into Lillicur State Forest.  After lunch in the forest we head north-easterly to Amherst, enter the Daisy Hill State Forest, then into Paddys Ranges State Park, past the Goldfields Reservoir and into Maryborough.

The overall difficulty of the walk is Easy-Medium with some short uphill stretches.

Currently arrangements are being made for the post-walk dinner somewhere in Maryborough.  Details will be published later.
